Adeshola Carew, also known as (Shola) is a woman of vision whom the Lord has used to bring to birth Apple of His Eyes Ministries. She was inspired by the Holy Spirit to care for and support widows and widowers who have no help or support in meeting their needs after the death of their loved ones.
The ministry vision is based on 1 Timothy 5:3 & 5. "Give proper recognition to those widows who are really in need...The widow who is really in need and left all alone puts her hope in God and continues night and day to pray and to ask God for help."
The ministry also supports single parents by providing for and training their children.
She loves the Lord with passion and is committed to the vision of ensuring that widows/widowers are self-dependent by establishing trade, farming, and education with the help of God and support from all nations. She is married to Pastor Kolawole Carew and has three lovely children who are all in the service of God's kingdom.
Pastor (Mrs.) Adesola Carew
Christiana Walker is a Registered Nurse and a mother of three. She is a kind-hearted child of God who is beautifully and wonderfully made. She loves the Lord and loves to work for the Lord. She believes she can "do all things through Jesus Christ who gives her strength" Philippians 4:13.
Bola is a child of God who enjoys meeting people and learning about their lives and stories. She believes in giving especially to widows and orphans because the bible says the “religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction and to keep oneself unstained from the world” James 1:27. While growing up in rural Nigeria, she saw firsthand how widows were abandoned and their children neglected. She believes that most women are not empowered to take care of their families in the event of the demise of their husbands. She feels privileged to make a difference in the lives of widows while working with the Apple of His Eyes Ministries.
Richard Kinga came in contact with the ministry in 2016 and he liaises with the ministry operations in Cameroon. He supports the ministry because it targets widows who are part of the most vulnerable in society. He also believes that widows occupy a very important place in the mind of God. The ministry has embarked on many projects in Cameroon. Due to limited resources, the ministry is currently supporting 10 widows in Cameroon but hopes to increase the number soon.
Helen is a child of God. She coordinates ministry activities in Cameroon where the lives of many widows have been transformed. The operations occur in Nkor Noni Sub-Division with the supply of foodstuff, clothes, and farm inputs. She hopes the ministry will expand to other subdivisions soon.
